Is "Prevent-A-Flat" Only For Tubeless Tyres?
"PREVENT-A-FLAT" CAN BE USED IN TUBE OR TUBELESS TYRES BUT IS MORE EFFECTIVE ON TUBELESS AS THE PLY OF THE TYRE IS GREATER THAN THAT OF TUBES.
The puncture sealing ability of PREVENT-A-FLAT is greatest in tubeless tyres. Where tubes are fitted, PREVENT-A-FLAT can substantially reduce the number of flats. If it is found that sealing characteristics are not as expected, check for the following conditions:
A) OILY OR LUBRICATED PUNCTURING OBJECT.
B) LACK OF SEALANT IN TYRE.
C) SIDEWALL OR RIM PINCH PUNCTURE. THE RUBBER CONTINUES TO WORK TO BREAK THE SEAL.
D) RIPS, TEARS, CORD OR SPOKE DAMAGE.
E) STRETCHED RUBBER. SOMETIMES FOUND IN OVERINFLATED OR PERISHED TUBES.
F) PROPER TUBE SIZE FOR TYRE.
G) PUNCTURING OBJECT LARGER THAN 6.0MM. IN TUBELESS AND LARGER THAN 4.0 MM IN TUBES.
H) SEALANT CONTAMINATED BY FOREIGN MATERIAL IN TYRE OR TUBE.
